Average Caveman Meal
« on: February 21, 2008, 09:54:52 AM »
Hi, been checking out the board for a few days.  I have found that I do better if I take my one meal between 12pm and 3pm, then fast until the next day (or get by with a scoop of crunchy peanut butter).  Any ideas for a big paleo meal I can take to work everyday?  I would love to be so disciplined that I just ate the same thing basically everyday, at least through the work week.  Any good one dish ideas?

Hi ChibaFan, and welcome to the forum  :)

Here's a few ideas for Paleo meals you can pack for work;

  • Chicken pieces with Broccoli (steamed), sprinkled with nuts
  • Omelette with chopped vegetables and chilli
  • Tuna and Garden Salad
  • Beef slices wrapped in spinach leaves

Art Devaney has a few here too; http://www.arthurdevany.com/?cat=11

I typically eat around midnight every night, because I like the "clean" feeling I have by not eating throughout the day.  I can see how eating between 2-3pm would be handy at work.  The peanut butter is a great idea, I eat it on bush walks, and although it's not technically a paleo food, it still is a great choice.
