Stopped for being barefoot
« on: March 15, 2011, 05:27:55 PM »
So I was in the park today, walking around barefoot, and a police officer bugged me about being barefoot! What the hell? Someone actually called the police because I took off my shoes! What kind of a nosy imbecile can't mind their own business long enough for me to take a walk?
 End of rant.

WOW, now that's weird. Did you ask cop if there's some city law against going barefoot?

I always thought parks were made for going barefoot  ;D

if you remember his name you could call in a complaint. There should be no reason for an on duty cop to stop someone just because they have something "smart" to say.  I was going to be in the force at one point, but decided not too because of how many people in my district are a-holes... <end of my rant>

The problem here is somebody actually called in a complaint about me being barefoot. He was just doing his job (while being dumb about it) but they were out of line.

That's ridiculous! Did he make you put your shoes back on? I would have refused!!

I can't believe someone reported you and then the cop actually responded to that report. Do people have nothing better to do?

My nosey neighbors think I am a freak for walking around (EDIT: outside!) my house without shoes, but they have yet to call the cops.  And they would, if they thought it was a suspicious activity instead of just a weird one. I think they call the cops for the entertainment value. Maybe that's what happened to you too. ::)
