I just received mine and started reading it a couple of days ago. I only read for a little bit before bed, but so far so good. I really like what Mark is about and his outlook on everything. Everything that he says, he can back up with research. I love it!

Absolutely, i try to eat as much wild game as possible. I deer hunt, hog hunt, and fish alot so i have a good amount of meat throughout the year. Also, i have friends that gator hunt here in Florida, and they give me some meat from time to time. I would also love to be 100%, but not there yet.

If you guys are like me, your always on the go and dont have much time for prepping and preparing meals. I found this on the internet and thought i would share.

Crack 2 eggs into the ziploc (no more than 2) shake to combine them.

If you have multiple guests or family members,you can  put out a variety of ingredients: peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatos...whatever you like, and they can add whatever they like to the eggs and shake. Make sure you get out all the air and zip it up.

Place the bag/bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can cook about 6-8 omelets in a large pot, for more add another pot of boiling water.

Open the bags and the omelets will roll out easily.

This goes great with some fresh fruit and is quick and easy. You can even prepare the bags the night before (make sure everyone rights their names on the bags) and toss them in the pot in the morning while brushing your teeth.

hey joe, welcome to caveman power!

my opinion is this... listen to your body on all aspects.

i know the first couple of days will be trying, but after thoses couple of days your body should start telling you what it needs. if you feel good with what your eating, then keep it up. i personally eat almost exactly what your eat. i try to vary my fruits and veggies so im not always eating the same thing, but if im feeling alittle sluggish in the afternoon, i may eat an apple or some pineapple for alittle pick-me-up.

As far as the supplements, again this is just my opinion, but before i started i was taking a gnc multi-vitamin and drinking a protein shake after every workout. since ive started, i have still been taking my vitamin (because i paid for it and just want to get rid of it) but i stopped drinking the shake. i dont want to rely on these things for nutrition. i want to be able to get everything i need from the food i eat. like preston said, foods today are not as nutritious (sp), but if you have access to organic fruits and veggies i think thats the way to go.

Again, for your workouts, i say listen to your body. if you have a long day or you just dont feel like hitting the gym, then dont. I like to keep it fun, and if you have to force yourself to go, there's no fun in that.

And, the same goes for the water. Like preston, i always have water handy. personally, i drink about a liter a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less, it really just depends. I think that the main thing is getting in touch with your body and listening to what it needs.

The thing i love about this site is you'll get alot of different opinions from this forum, and you just have to find what works for you and make it your own. I wish you the best and keep us posted about your progess!

This comment is too important not to post: “I am a Type 1 diabetic. Was taking 60 to 80 units of insulin per day before evolutionary fitness. Am down to 17 units per day, and my blood sugars are nearly perfect ALL THE TIME.” Thank you Arthur!

A drop in insulin injections, something a Type 1 diabetic must do all their lives, is VERY significant. They live in less danger of a diabetic comma and do not age as rapidly as other diabetics who inject large amounts of insulin do. I am very gratified to hear this because I developed my earliest conceptions of Evolutionary Fitness in trying to keep my Type 1 diabetic son healthy.

i am also getting married this coming may, and i dont feel bad at all about wanting to have 4-5 children with my beautiful wife. we are both responsible adults and are well aware of the responsibilities that come along with that. but i do feel the same way when i hear about women that are already living off the government popping out more children each year. primarly for this reason, we are headed in a downward spiral. if i do feel bad about anything, it would be bringing children into a world that is headed "no where". theres not one answer that will fix our enviroment. and we will definately NOT be able to undo the destruction we have caused over night. there are too many ignorant people in this country alone (North America), much less the world, that prevent us from banning together and taking an active approach towards enviromental restoration. now on the other hand, there are many people that are doing just that, but my belief is that the bad is out-weighing the good, by far.

im glad you said that because, i play softball two nights a week and i have to eat sunflower seeds. i know its not part of the paleo diet, but its a hard habit to break. and ill have to look into the almond butter. i normally use a big scoop of peanut butter in my protein shake after a workout, so maybe i can switch to the almond butter.

well the tired feeling has gotten better, but i have noticed that, yes i have burned a couple lbs of fat, but i have also lost some muscle. the workout i have been doing targets one body part a week, and i have had good success with it, but since i started this diet, i havent seen the same results. im gonna try and switch it up and see where that gets me, but i am open for opinions/suggestions... whatever. THANKS

THANKS! i think the part that was the most weird about this week, was the fact that i was cold alot... besides getting tired mid-afternoon. i am normally warm all the time. but i feel much better today, being my 5th day. i actually feel really well.

hey guys! I also just started and I think I did really good today. I drank my water, ate my fruit\veggies and ate my unsalted nuts. then for dinner I had 10 hot wings and some curly fries. we'll see how tomorrow goes.

Hey guys! Today is my first day on the caveman power diet, and so far so good. i tend to eat alot of fruits through-out the day anyways, so i think ill be just fine. But, i wanted to try and get some advice from you guys, i normally eat my dinner before i go to the gym at night. Should i wait until i get home to eat, or does it matter? Also, i have always been taught that you should eat more when your working out more. And right now, i work-out 6 days a week, and go mountain biking 3 days, and i eat accordingly, but i am always tired. The whole reason i descide to start this lifestyle was purely for the energy boost. i want my body to be able to work as hard as i do, and not be physically tired.  Is this something that i will experience?
