« on: August 01, 2009, 08:54:21 AM »
The past couple of days I have had NO energy to work out.  However, I keep reading that the Caveman diet GIVES people more energy.  I try not to drink Caffeine.... but in order to workout I need to drink caffeine.  Ughhh what gives?   What can I do differently?

I try to eat only what I kill except for fruits and vegetables.  I've been busy lately with work and got about 5lbs of venison and duck left in the freezer and one to two more meals of fish in the frig.  I need to get in the water and do some spearfishing.  Anyone else try to consume what the harvest. Im not a 100% but someday I will get there.

that is so cool.... wow I wish my hunting skills were better because I would totally do that!

Right now I am in summer classes trying to get my BA degree.  I find that when I really stick to the cave man diet my attention span is so much long and I pay more attention than when I am not on the diet.
Just thought I would share :)

What is it about?

To Sally:

I lost four pounds this past week. Another thing I noticed is that I really DON'T want the sweets as much. I think about them, but when it's time to eat my meal. I don't want any or I'll eat very little. It could be that you don't want to waste your meal on junk so you eat things that are more productive. At any rate, it really does make you want to eat healthier foods. Oh yeah, and by the end of the first week, I was REALLY beginning to detox. That's a good thing! :)

That is awesome!   yeah I remember my first week I didn't want to eat anything else
and then on the second week I cheated and I felt HORRIBLE.... it was such a grosssss feeling
just wait until you eat your first toxic hell (taco bell)   you are going to feel sooo sick

HI!   I also have annoying belly fat that I didn't get until after I gave birth.
However recently it has gone wayyyyyy down.  I do blame the caveman diet because I no longer eat white flower or high fructose corn syrup.

Have you thought about swimming?  it's easy on your joints!
and muscle does weigh more than fat so if you are loosing inches you are doing fine!!!!
Are you doing the Caveman diet as well?

Advice Column / Re: Pre/Post workout meals
« on: May 25, 2009, 09:05:34 PM »
I was going to say protein.   While I was cheer leading in College they would always tell us to eat protein with in 30 minutes of any strengthening exercise.  Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it helps repair the muscles after an intense work out.

General Discussion / New to the caveman diet
« on: May 25, 2009, 08:41:55 PM »
a little bit of a background on why I started this diet.
I went to a family reunion and one of the families that were there have always all bee over weight
Well one of their sons has bee doing the caveman diet and he's all muscular!
I decided that if It could work for him it could work for me.   I'm 5'9" 150 pounds so I'm hoping this will help me get to 135 :)
