Has anyone answered this guys question? The belief is going slow will recruit more muscle fibers. That's the short of it. You do need to control a weight on the negative part of the lift, otherwise you risk joint damage. Quick, explosive type movements with power will recruit more fast twitch muscle fibers (type 2 a and b). It's much more in depth than that but I'll just keep this short.

Yo, Whats the benefit of doing exercises quickly and with great thrust as opposed to the slow weight lifting of a body builder? If u could just expand on that a little bit, it would be great.
