I'd like to hear some reasons for avoiding yogurt from this diet plan. Is it because of the lactose in it? Is it because of the carbs? I'm talking about plain, unsugared, and low- to full-fat yogurt.

The next questions I have are about peas, peanuts, and stringbeans: same concerns. What is undesirable about peanuts? Is it the fat content?

Stringbeans don't have any fat that I know of and they have some fiber.

Peas are strange. Are they loaded with carbs?

I appreciate any ideas you readers have. Thanks!

Yogurt is avoided by strict Paleos because it's a product of agriculture, all dairy really.

I'm more a Primal eater than a strict Paleo. If a food doesn't make me gain weight or feel crappy I eat it. Yogurt doesn't bother me. Cheese either except if I eat too much I'll gain weight. Having said that, getting off MILK was the best moves I ever did. My sinus acts up if I drink milk. I use to get sinus infections all the time before I went milk free.

Beans and Legumes are not paleo, some primals eat them in moderation. For the calories there's better foods so I avoid them 99% of the time. Beans are also hard to digest and sit on your stomach, cause gas, and make you sluggish. For the same calories as a small portion of beans you could of had a greek salad with a nice balsamic dressing and a little fetta cheese on top. Plus you'll get more fiber with the salad. Just depends what foods you would rather have for the same calorie kick.

My best suggestion is go strict Paleo at first, then add in some foods one at a time and see how you feel, see if you start gaining weight, or any other adverse effect.
