I've considered learning to fish, have (in my darker moments) contemplated finding a way to catch rabbits, but as I know nothing about butchery or cleaning fish it would end in the unnecessary death of an animal I then couldn't eat.
cleaning fish is simple, cleaning rabbit is a little more tedious and requires a bit more skill. with a fish you de-scale it by rubbing the back of the fillet knife blade over its skin, rinse off the scales. some people chop off the headsand tail parts (I do, unless I want a crispy tail, which is excellent with ketchup!) and then make an incision along the ventral part of the body (belly, sorry I made a promise to myself to use medical terms as much as possible, whenever possible) and then rip out the organs. rinse and season how you want and voila! fillet of fish! mind you this way you have to dodge bones when you are eating it. You can always grab the spine and tear it out and then pick the little bones out witha tweezer. Thats if little bones bother you, personally I eat them unless they are stabbing into my cheeks.
rabbit... well... here's a website for that::
