I'm looking to lose about 80 pounds or so.  I've been on a few diets and I tend to lose motivation rather quickly but I was on the 17 day diet and this thing goes right along with it cause there's protein and fruits and veggies involved......

Anyway.......

My friend lost like 30 lbs in 2 months cause she ate nothing but fruits and veggies 3x a day, drank lots of water so I want to do that. The problem that messed her up is that she went back to eating the bad stuff and gained all her weight back which sucks! That's one of the worst things that can happen, its happened to me numerous times and I HATE GAINING ALL THE WEIGHT BACK after losing  Angry

So I'm hoping to adopt a new way of eating that I don't lose the motivation to do, something that sticks to me instead of being a bore. Another plus, if I lose weight my hubby is so very affectionate towards me.  Wink He loves me for me as I am now but when I lose the weight, he notices and his affectionate side comes out *which doesn't happen much, but when it does OH BOY!*  Grin

I am glad that you found our tribe! and welcome! there is a ton of information on this site as well as on www.marksdailyapple.com and www.paleohacks.com
i have been in this lifestyle for a little more than 2 years now and it is amazing, I find its very easy to follow and is easy to stick to so long as you allow yourself a little lee-way, mistakes do happen! but dont beat yourself up if you indulge every now and then, just stick to it as closely as what is comfortable for you. i still eat beans (lima, black beans, cannelli beans, edamamme) but thats about as un-paleo as i get. well that and the occasional cheese wedge ( i am a sucker for brie and blue cheese)

I wish you the best!

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
