Well it is day 3 and I can feel a change. Maybe just because of all the self motivation, but I'm digging it.

Set up a new calendar on the iCloud and am now keeping score.

Drinking water is easy. I have always enjoyed water.

Skipping meals is fun and not hard to do.

Stepping up the exercising, easy to do as well.

More info daily.

Good on you Gordo!  I think you'll find that this diet is not only easy, but will have a lot of positive changes for you.  It's not really like a traditional "diet" though, but more of a change in the way you think about things, do things and go about things, so it's a lifestyle change.
In addition to the scale, I'd recommend taking measurements also.  There are times that, especially when being more active, the scale either won't change, or will actually go up a bit.  If you notice your measurements going down, but the scale isn't, that's still a good thing!  Don't step on the scale every day either.  For one, our weight can fluctuate 2-5 pounds a day and that's normal, but also if you do it weekly, you'll see more of a change each time you do.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing as you go along!  Smiley

Good job Gordo, it sounds like you're off to a great start!  Cutting out sugar is a great thing for your new lifestyle, but you don't have to completely punish yourself either.  Anything is ok in moderation, so a candy bar once in a while to reward yourself for your new healthy lifestyle can be a good thing.  Turn the candy bar into an occasional treat, instead of a 4 time a day snack. lol

Keep up the good work and once you put some potatos in the bag, let us know how your reps go...!  Cheesy

Don't worry about the weight. I started with not that much to loose and now I'm half way there. Actually I'm reconsidering if I really want to loose that much weight as I initially planned. I'd be Victoria Secret thin and I'd really hate to change my career at my age Smiley

Reading all your comments is my motivator! I am a rookie at this but if you all can do this so can I. I must admit I am not hungry. I turned my morning fruit into a smoothly of just fresh pineapple blueberries strawberries and a banana and a 1/4 cup of mixed nuts  that was 3 hours ago and I am still not hungry! Ready for my water refill  deep cleaning the house next will be washing the dog

I will be healthy

Water is your Friend, I don't think you can over Hydrate, but then again, I just play a Doctor on the radio . . .

You can, but you almost have to make an effort to overdose on water...

If I'm taking in lots of water while exercising in the heat I make sure I'm getting enough sodium and electrolytes.

These are a good Paleo choice...

Phytic acid has a strong binding affinity to minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc; this results in precipitation, making the minerals unavailable for absorption in the intestines. [4] Phytic acids are common in the hulls of nuts, seeds and grains.

Glucosinolates prevent the uptake of iodine, affecting the function of the thyroid and thus are considered goitrogens.[5] They are found in broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower.
