My last post is looks crazy. Which my explain why no one has replied.

I am pregnant a few weeks away from delivery. I have a toddler at home and I daycare two others.
My Hubby and I are very interested in trying this diet.

Question 1: would you recommend this diet for a Toddler (3yrs) and how do I keep her on the diet, not impose it on my other charges and explain to cavekid why she is not having a PBJ with her friends?

Question 2: Breast feeding and stage 2 do not seem compatible. What would you recommend for a breast feeding mother?

Question 3: Would you advise me starting now or waiting until after delivery to start the diet.

Question 4: We are on a budget. What are some recommendations for eating paleo on a budget.

Thanks for your time.

NM on the breastfeeding question. Found Marks daily Apple on the subject. Very Helpful.
Would still love advice on the toddler issue.
another note to add, it that we get WIC. Bread (x) Peanut butter (x?) Cheese (x) Beans (x) Cereal (x) Milk (x) Eggs  and 100% juice.

Just be very careful if you want your daughter to eat paleo that she's getting all the nutrients/vitamins etc that she needs...... otherwise can you give the other children paleo food??....... cold meats/boiled eggs/carrot sticks/apple slices........nothing wrong with that Smiley If you lay it out on a blanket, like a picnic to make it more fun !!

.....and I'm not sure what you found at Marks daily apple, but i'm planning to have another baby next year, and i'll be doing stage 3, all the right foods, little and often.... which is what i would suggest for you perhaps??..... If you feel that your not eating enough fruit/veg, you can always add in a multivit.

Smiley thanks
I think I will keep my kiddos on a hybrid diet (espically while they are still on WIC)

Most sites are recommending that while breastfeeding to keep yourself out of ketosis, but otherwise the paleo diet is actualy quite compatable with breast feeding.

I will see if i can find that link to the daily apple on it. IT was very informative.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
