It is a pretty simple program
Spend a hour a day 6x a week working out
It takes 90 days

I have tried it for a while and dabbed with the video's and right nwo i have really buff arms, of course i would like to loose the chest and belly for thos arms to look good and possibly fit in a 6 pack, So i was waiting until i found a good diet *this one* because they offer a diet of 3:1 Protien to Carb then 2:2 then 1:3. But i think the caveman power would be better, alot of the workouts involve the body only and makes it affordable to do at home without machines, all you need is a pull-up bar and dumbells (or resistance bands)

Its a wonderful program, once you understand that its just a balanced workout for every 3-4 weeks and the workouts change every month and the workouts are different every day and barley use any machinery other then a pull up bar (Something natural you can do in the woods) and resistance bands (for weight Resistance)

Will this program work for me if i don't have anywhere to put up a chinup bar (trust me i checked every doorway and none of them will work)? I can substitute them with rows or somethig and maybe hit the park once a week when the nicer weather comes to get in a chinup workout.

Body rows are a great exercise, either on their own or as substitutes for chinups.  If you can supplement with chinups at a local park a couple of times a week, you should have the "pulling" exercise covered.

As for chinning at home, doorways aren't the only place to hang a bar.  Do you have any exposed rafters in a basement, attic, or garage?  How about a tree or clothesline in the backyard or nearby woods?  Also, rather than chinning on a stationary bar, you might consider hanging a pair of gymnastic rings (or a reasonable facsimile).  Rope climbing rocks, as well.

If all else fails, just lean a ladder against the house and get chinning!   Grin

I tried all of that. The thing is the house doesn't belong to me so i can't go drilling just anywhere. I think i'll just get out to the park once a week or something for a chinup session. I appreciate that. Thank you. Maybe i'll give it a go. I know somebody who did it for like a year and he lost 40 pounds and he's strong as an ox. I swear this guy could break my hand if he aqueezed it enough.

One thing: i have a physical job. i know with P90X you are supposed to work out 6 days a week but right after work, i am already sore and all i want to do isrelax. Do you think the routine will be disrupted if i take more than I day a week off? I'm thinking not because i AM working my body at work but just not in the same way. Please let me know and thanks.

I'm not familiar enough with P90x to say if "the routine" would be disrupted by your taking off more than 1 day per week.  On the other hand, you're more familiar with your own body and the work it does than the guys who devised P90x.  If you overtrain, you're only going to set yourself back, and set yourself up for a possible injury.  Give your body the rest it needs when it needs it, and the work it needs on an adequately consistent basis to grow stronger and more capable.

Getting to a park on a weekly basis sounds like a great idea, but if you want to "pull" more often than that, don't forget my simple suggestion of a ladder against the house--you can do all kinds of crazy work with a ladder.

I'll give the ladder a try. That's actually a brilliant idea that i probably never would have thought of. P90X seems right. I'm not overweight and i'm not scrawny. i think if i take an extra day off here and there, i will still benefit from P90X. My main goal right now is putting on strength. P90X is great for that but also, my job IS a workout. It's a beer store in Canada that i work at. Canadians love their beer lol. Some days i can't even take my break because it's so busy.  All day long, i am jogging around the store, carrying cases of beer or cases of empy bottles and stacking them on skids. The only down time i get is smashing bottles in a recyling bin... i think of it as carrying baskets full of water or berries and then clubbing an animal over the head. It feels good. After a whole day, my legs and back feel worked. I feel pretty confident that it will go well. I will probably buy the program when i next get payed. Thank you for all your advice. You may not care but i actually went to every link that you sent me and studied what they said. i considered everything you told me before i made this decission. So, i would like to thank you because even though we've never met, you have made a positive difference in my life. So, thank you.
