Tea
« on: November 27, 2011, 08:30:22 AM »

I am just learning about the caveman diet and want to begin the process, my question is does Tea fit in to this diet?  There are extreme health benefits from drinking tea on a daily basis - can I incorporate it into this diet?  I drink tea a few times a day and would hate to give it up!  Thanks.........

Coffee is not really allowed as it's a bean......though some members on here do have a cup a day....... I've given it up as it gave me too many headaches, and the "rush" from it wore off over time.

Yes it is a "bean" but you do not consume the bean itself so I think it's safe to say it's alright to drink a cup or two a day. I use to drink 5 cups a day and now I drink 1-2 a day. I have substituted most of the coffee I once drank with herbal teas.

I have given up coffee since I like mine with cream no sugar/Decaf I love the flavor!  But in phase one I have made instant decaf to have along with my meal and am using almond milk.  Now I do have a friend who drinks dandelion tea which looks and tastes like coffee and she uses canned coconut milk in hers for cream.  Grin
