Hi all!!!I'm new to this site and really interested in giving this Caveman "diet"a go but I'm worried it might not go hand in hand with my medication for my underactive thyroid and depression????Because of my thyroid problems I also need to take quite a lot of pain killers..........Do you think I'll be able to do this diet????Thanks in advance xx

I guess it depends a bit on whether you follow any special diet now..... if not then this diet would probably be OK as long as you get a good balance of nutrients. If it was me i'd probably check with my health care provider,  although sometimes they are anti- paleo because they don't know much about it.

Thanks Nicki,no I'm not on a special diet at the mo so I think I should be ok.My tablets effect my metabolism tho so I'm worried that if I'm not eating much through the day my metabolism may slow down.I think this will be more of a problem on stage 2 tho.My Doctor is pretty laid back and lets me try all sorts of things to lose weight so he'll probably be cool about it.Thanks again xx

Then why not skip stage one and two, and start at 3 ( that's what i did)......... eat little and often of the right foods, if that suits you better.

If I started at stage 3 I wouldn't get as good a weight loss though would I?I think I'm going to start next week when my son goes to school full time and I'm going to do all the stages but perhaps the minimum time on stage one and two.

If you were going to eat quite a lot for your feast ( ie stage 2)...... you could spread that into 3 tiny meals during the day, and have a few nuts etc in between if you get hungry.... that might work best for you.

Good luck with it all Smiley
