Relearning how to live wild

Well, I've been out of the exercise game for some time, due to a full-time job and a part-time degree, both of which are very sedentary.

Going paleo I've lost some fat - more than I expected to - but naturally my fitness is on a downward spiral.

As I'm sick of workout DVDs and can't afford a gym and don't like running (I know, I know!) lately I've been waiting until my partner goes to work, then putting on my MP3 player, turning up the rock music and dancing like an idiot (with hand and ankle weights attached) for 30 minutes every morning. It's fun, it's exercise, it's feel good. And I keep the curtains shut!!

It's certainly helping me physically and mentally and although I'm sure it's not as hardcore as many workouts, something is better than nothing. As I won't graduate until summer 2012 and will be studying constantly between now and then, this may be pretty much all I get to do on a regular basis.

And I think any movement is better than no movement.

Dancers are some of the best athletes out there, and they burn a ton of calories.

I go dancing but I usually drink beer along with it so calorie wise it's a wash  Grin

Way to go findng a workout that you like and are motivated to do!  You might also like the Kinect for dancing... it's a lot of fun! Cheesy

Falcon,

I know I already mentioned this on the thread of mine you responded to but have you tried kettlebells? Incredible and cheaper than gym fees if you can get over the initial cost of them. Plus if you stop using them they are great door stops.

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
