hello,

i'm new to the caveman philosophy but i'm starting to try it out. I already do exercise etc, so i'm wanting to make sure my diet is good. However, so far, all I have really cut out of
my diet is bread, potatoes and milk.

I've started eating more berries and salads, infact, now that bread has gone, most of my "meals" consist of salad and chicken or fish. I snack on walnuts and bananas for "carbs".

One thing I haven't stopped is cheese, or more specifically, blue stilton cheese, as it's a good source of protein and takes away the pressure of eating animal meat every single meal.

But, eating cheese is a fairly big violation of the caveman diet isn't it? - another thing I don't quite understand is baked beans, beans are also banned, are they like grains too?

Also, how does honey and very dark chocolate fit into the caveman diet, are they both banned aswell??

i'm just asking to see how my diet fits into your guys philosophy, so far i've cut out bread, milk and potatoes. My diet now mainly consists of:

chicken, beef, cheese, salad, berries, bananas, walnuts, salmon, tuna, sardines, mackrel, eggs, 90% dark chocolate and honey. Plus only water to drink. Also I add mayo or mustard to my salads, how does that fit in to the caveman diet, is it allowed?

Basically, i'd like to know what fits in and what doesn't fit in to the hardcore caveman diet Smiley

thanks,
Jon

I think you have some god questions here. As for the one about cheese and protein, I know that Quinoa, the S.American grain that is gaining popularity is a really good source of protein.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
