Soups, whats the story good or bad?   I am assuming homemade soups are okay as long as you stick to the staple ingredients but what about the stock, as I usually buy that?

Check the ingredients...... try and get wheat free ones with fewest artificial gubbins in it.

Chicken stock is SO easy to make though...... do you want to try if i give you the recipe??..... It keeps for about a week in the fridge, so you can add a splosh to your stir fries etc Smiley

Ahh.... very easy.....  stick your chicken bones in a pan with some salt and pepper.....just cover with water ( hot or cold is fine )...... bring to the boil then turn down low as you can for 2 or 3 hours.  When finished, pour through a sieve into a jug then fridge.

Enjoy Smiley

you can use any bones really. I have made stock out of pretty much everything you can get from the store. I through some onion, carrot, celery in there for some flavor. Some of the spices I use are bay leaves, black peppercorns, basil, and thyme. You can add what ever you want to a stock also, I make stock for soup out of everything that is in my fridge. Don't put any thing that would be bitter or have a real strong flavor like asparagus or Brussels sprouts. I like to simmer my stock for 12 hours in a slow cooker or on the stove on low.
