This week was undoubtedly one of the hardest weeks of my life. Ok not really, but it was hard.

I started Friday and after almost dying of hunger, i feasted on a piece of meat that tasted like it descended from the heavens, cooked by god himself.

Saturday evening I had to attend an engagement party and a farewell.  At the engagement party I had to dodge the delicious looking lasagna, lovely smelling curries and all the bruschetta and other pastries lying around like little diet killing pastry-bombs.  My wife tucked in, and i foraged on a green salad because I had feasted at lunch. I was not in a happy place.

Then we left to attend the farewell party for a mate leaving for the UK and as these things go, there were tons of finger snacks and alcohol.  I'm not gonna lie. I had something to drink.  I tried staying away from brandy and coke mixers so I ended up drinking whiskey and water. Bleh!
My body rejected the alcohol the next day  and I almost lost the will to live as my head was throbbing inside my scull.

Today however... Monday.... I'm feeling fantastic. I feel like I've turned the proverbial corner.  I can keep the hunger at bay quite easily.  This is amazing for me if you consider I work in an Italian restaurant. Fruit an Nuts keep me going and although I'm not losing any weight just yet, i can feel a slight spike in energy levels.

Question: What, if any, is the best alcohol to drink if you simply are going to?  Light Beer, White Wine, Whiskey?

Wine has the most proven health benefits. Problem is I like good Belgium beer. My solution is I only have beers on social occasions and switch to water after just a couple.

Light beer, naw, I'd rather drink wine.

Fight apathy, or not.

Hoon responsibly.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
