I was just wondering why salt is not good or if seasalt is allowed on this diet? Apologise if this is a stupid Qs or already been asked.
Also just confused about what nuts are best for us. Is it Almonds are good for us? and the other thing is what oil is best to use when cooking with?

Thanks and appreciate any advice.

http://www.thepaleodiet.com/faqs/ - This is a good resource for Q&A about the Paleo diet.

Q: What's the problem with adding salt to my food?

A: As do hard cheeses, cereal grains, meats, and legumes, salt presents a net acid load to the kidneys in the absence of alkaline foods such as fruits and vegetables. The body responds by tapping its reserve of calcium salts in the bones, which can lead to osteoporosis and other degenerative diseases. As described in The Paleo Diet, cheeses, grains, and legumes are nutritionally problematic for other reasons as well. Eating lean, low-salt meat is fine when it's balanced with fruits and vegetables. Do your body a favor and put the salt shaker away.

Q: Can I use sea salt while on the Paleo Diet?

A: Salt was not part of the hunter-gatherers' diet, hence our metabolism can not handle salt very well, especially if one has a high fructose intake or for those with high blood pressure. However, a small amount of salt probably won't be an issue. But use it in moderation.

On the other hand, conditions such as insomnia or exercise induced asthma may improve on a low-salt diet.

Unsalted, Raw nuts are always best.  Almonds & Walnut are good.  Try to stay away from the Peanuts, and Cashew as they are considered legumes. (meaning it will open on its own).

Olive oil, or Extra Olive oils are good ones to use.
