Hi all , Im a newbie.. having no problems with ditching most things but.... would like to know about rice.. of the wild variety and rice flour as well... is it a no no??.. Thanks  Smiley

Yep, rice is considered a cheat. But as cheats go it's not the worst grain you could eat. I still have rice maybe twice a month. Starches are counter-productive to weight loss. I've been at my goal weight for a long time and rice every once in a while doesn't bother me.

#2.Don't eat wheat, corn, rice, or other grains. If you choose to eat some grains, eat them sparingly and prepare them to minimize toxins, such as by sprouting and soaking. Wheat seems to be the worst of all the grains, while rice seems to be the most benign. Whole grains are not better than refined grains.

Yes... agree.... rice is the best of the bad bunch...... I have rice about twice a month too, and also a sweet potato now and again......much better than bread or pasta ( Wheat bloat!!).

I still have curry maybe once a week, i love it.....perfectly fine if you make your own ( shop bought could be full of all sorts of preservatives and other nasties Sad )
