1  General Discussion / Advice Column / Re: New poster here, need some advice on: April 02, 2009, 04:41:08 AM
Thank you everyone for the advice.  I am going to stay on phase one for two weeks before moving to phase two.   I haven't been taking the multi-vitamin, so I'll stay off it for now.  I'll be sure to keep water with me at all times.  I feel like I am losing weight already, and I'm only starting day three.  I have about 18 kilos to lose, and I have confidence in this program.

Thanks again.

Hello everyone.  Just signed up a few days ago, and I just wanted to say this site is awesome.  I've always wanted to get back to a simpler way of eating ever since I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and this site offers just that.  Awesome job!!

Anyways, I had a few questions, and I was wondering if anyone could help.  I'm in day 2 of phase 1 of the diet.  I start my day with a tall glass of water, then the rest of the day I eat 2 apples, 1 orange, and 180 grams of nuts.  Later at night, I feast.

My questions are:

Are 3 peices of fruit and 180 grams of nuts enough?  Day 1 I felt pretty run down, but I was OK on day 2.

I have liquid vitamins I was taking, but stopped since starting phase one.  Are vitamins/supplements OK, or should they be avoided because they were not around thousands of years ago?

Does it make sense to work out everyday?  Other diet and weight loss info I've read says to have off days, but I'd imagine a caveman would have to work for food every single day.  I don't have a problem working out every day, but I just want to make sure I don't overdo it.

How much water should I drink each day?  I've never been a thirsty person, and traditional thinking has everyone needing 1-1.5 liters a day.  Should I just listen to my body when it comes to water intake?

I think that's it for now.  Again, thanks for the awesome site!

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
