From troll to member in 60 seconds.
Found this website from a search on Google read some very interesting posts/ideas.
Read up on The Zone and Paleo-Caveman diets. Gotta pick one and start.
My main issue is weight loss, secondary but just as important FEEL BETTER!
I like the loose guidelines of Paleo and Cave compared to the strict Zone rules.
I'm a 110% guy and when I choose I hit the ground running.
I'm also 275lbs and am best motivated by at least some quick results for motivation, just being honest. Why lie.
Will I see/feel some fairly quick results for that reason?
    Thank you,
    10kYrs2L8

Thank you,

If you can hang in and not cheat you will lose weight in stage 2. How fast is up to you depending how much you can exercise in this stage. I started by just walking about 30-45 minutes a day. Any good aerobics should work. Basically your fasting throughout the day time and eating one meal for dinner. It's just about a given, there's only so much a person can eat in just one meal, plus your stomach will start to shrink so less food will make you feel full.

Keep us posted.

Test the fat, not the weight. I can't stress this enough. I've lost close to 100lbs, but if we're counting fat loss, it's closer to 150lbs. You could gain 10lbs of muscle and see no difference on the scale.
That said, the diet will be hell while you detox. It's incredibly hard seeing cake and not being able to eat it for the first month or so, so steel yourself.

Oh and try to do pushups if you're just starting to exercise (girl ones are fine, we all start somewhere). I've always found that building muscle at least gives me some quick visible results to brag about (plus power exercises won't shred your knees as much).

About 2 and a half years. I started off cutting out wheat and the more paleo I got the faster I lost the weight. I went down 3 belt sizes this month, but I gained too much muscle to notice a major weight difference.

I too have been losing at a fairly fast rate.  I started 3 weeks ago and have lost almost 10 pounds.  I started at 30 pounds away from goal weight. I ate the first two weeks like it said to in stage one with the exception that I didn't eat the junk, I ate Paleo.  Now in my third week I am doing a combo of stage 1 and 2.  If I'm not hungry like today I don't eat anything but drink water and eat Paleo at night.  I carry an apple and a little bag of almonds in my purse just in case I get hunger pangs.  So, if I can go the whole day with nothing than I do.  On a couple of occasions I felt hunger and the water didn't do it so I grazed.  Hasn't affected my weight loss one bit!!

So do what works for you using these principles and not only will you lose weight you will fee lighter and better!

Keep us posted! Oh, BTW, welcome to the Tribe!

Thanks bunches, Mommy.
That sounded weird...lol...
I'm not eating any junk either but as you said, using the principles.
No/lo carb seems easy, been on lo carb for awhile now but eating
Protein every 4hrs, so not eating is new.
Thanks for the words and the welcome.
Best to you.
Feelin positive,
