I think they are taking this a bit too far.  I myself am an animal lover, and take care not to harm animals.  But seriously... charge us more for eating food that our ancestors have survived on?Huh

What PETA dosen't realize is there weren't a lot of vegetarians that lived through the last ice age.

What I don't understand is:  I am open minded and try to understand their point of view.  Why can they not do the same for those who do enjoy eating meat?
I enjoy playing sports because I feel that the exercise is good for me (plus the competition)  Wink  That does not mean that I should send a letter to the insurance company stating that those who don't play sports but rather play video games should be charged more!!!
Plus do these PETA people not take a second to consider, maybe the President or CEO of that insurance company is a meat eater themselves?  LOL  They're probably eating a burger while they read that letter.  LOL

I was a 100% raw vegetarian for 8 years in Alaska, my choice for healing. But that didn't mean I was against hunting for food. I ended my strict vegetarian days by catching a salmon and sharing it with some Indians on the beach, they shared thier beer.Smiley The human body has evolved where we need the nutrients from animal products to function properly without getting sick. If you meet someone who says they never eat animal products, they are probably lying. Not to many people on this planet can do it, even the monks in Nepal who are supposed to be the most hard core vegetarians eat 2 or 3 eggs a week, or thier brains wouldn't fuction properly.

I did not know that about Monks.  That's some interesting facts.

I made my living cooking for 25 years and have been studying nutrition, and natural healing for about 30 years. I no longer work for someone else, and make my living doing energy healing with acupressure and magnetic healing, I don't charge anything, but never turn down a donation. I work on people and animals in person or accross the world. I also learned wilderness survival from my Great Grandfather, in the 1800s, he was a fur trapper and mountain man, and I taught mountain survival tactics for the military. I do have a lot of obscure facts floating around in my head.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
