Do these exist? I would love to make some paleo friendly burgers. With the buns and cheese and everything to goes with a burger. But cheese and the buns aren't paleo friendly.
Do you guys have a way of making them paleo friendly??

Thanks!

Bread and cheese aren't paleo friendly...... i wish i had a magic wand but alas not!!

Either have one now and again as your treat or just have the meat part perhaps with some onions and tomato puree or mustard.

Yeah i know. I was thinking maybe there is a way to make the buns paleo friendly. Use some other type of flour and so on. Someone must have a nice recipe  Smiley
The meat is the easy part. I find the buns to be hard to do paleo style.

Ahhhhh well you can have coconut flour or almond flour, but they are both sweet..... I have used  rice flour before..... not strictly paleo, but certainly better for the gut than wheat...... you can also get yam flour.

Use a portabello mushroom cap for your bottom bun, put all your condiments on that and use the patty as the top bun. Or you could use two mushroom caps, one top one bottom. The cheese you're stuck on, but in my opinion, a little cheese every now and then is loads better than grains every now and again.

I don't trust hamburger meat(unless you grind it yourself), after I read the kinds of nasty scraps and fillers they add. It's so nasty they even wash the pieces in amonia before they grind it all up...

I agree with Qommon - definitely portabella mushroom caps are amazing! What is nice about this diet is that your taste buds and cravings "evolve" or change a little. Prior to the diet, you may have housed a burger with all the works.. but as you progress into the stages of the diet you really hone in on how great natural tastes. Sounds odd - but you'll see. (ha)

I used to love a good burger prior, but now my taste buds and endorphins wouldn't act the same if I were eating a turkey "burger" with some salsa and guacamole...

or pineapple. You'll feel better with the foods you eat and ultimately you'll have new cravings, it becomes more about what you love now than the obstacle of what you "used to love" and can't kick. It's all mental - and really, you can!
