Hey guys.

I have been on paleo and it has been great.  I have strayed a little off of the diet some weekends when my friends pressure me to hit the pubs, but for the most part I have been 100% caveman, other than 2 cups of coffee every morning (Started drinking it black or with Coconut milk).  I love Coffee too much to stop.  I sit on my balcony freezing cold with a hot coffee and love it.  Anyway.

I have never been in bad shape (5'11", 150 ibs, avid runner, work out 3 times a week), but I have noticed that I have had more energy and my abs are actually visible now.  I now run less and focus mostly on circuit drills that last 25 minutes a day, and go for hour long walks with my ipod but for the most part I have focused less on fitness and am still seeing better results.

However, believe it or not the best thing I have noticed about this diet was that I have become and amazing cook.  Before paleo, I couldn't make anything more complex than oatmeal.  Tonight I decided to pay my parents a visit in my hometown and make a meal for them I have gotten good at.

I baked a bunch of chicken thighs in the oven.  I kept all the fat on them and threw a bunch of chopped up carrots, onions, and almonds on there, along with various seasonings that were available.  I also added little drops of honey on top of the chicken (I know that isn't allowed but oh well).  I cooked it until the fat on top got a little black.  They loved it.  My dad couldn't believe how juicy the chicken was, and my mom (who was worried I was trying to lose weight on this diet) couldn't believe how much of the actual fat I was eating.  My sister, dog, and cat's loved it as well.

I know I rambled I thought I would just share my experience.  It is a really cool thing to make dinner for my family and having them love it.  I know this isn't paleo, but i've had a good day so i'm going to crack open a beer or two and watch some tv.

Peace.

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
