I realized my real problem as far as changing my lifestyle and my goal to loose weight (As i naturally do when i avoid processed foods) I have no support, my parents are both fat, dad works till 4pm, I am home at 2:30pm, my mom works tille 6-9pm and sometimes she is at home but still.
Both fat, my dad is on Atkins so it may help a little but i will be honest. I love food and am sort of a foodie, my dad however eats even the dryest of meat and the untastiest of foods, all he prefers is Crunchy. I being a foodie love food and want to enjoy my meals, and almonds are good with me, only after a while i want something different. I have no one to help nudge/push me to do my p90x workout I can't get my mom to get me a appointment to a podiatrist so i can fix my problem with my feet so i can run. Dad only believes avoiding carbs helps which is good and all but thinks the 1 meal a day thing is bad (even with grazing) and after 2 days of my lifestyle change he bring home some kind of Monkey Bread and Muffins from work and says "this is for you", i said "You know i should not eat that", he says "well you know.", I gave in with my will power and ate half of the bread and half of the muffin.
My dad's flaw is he has so much Diet soda in the house, and its always in the fridge chilled, I love water more but prefer cold drinks so i sometimes give in from my willpower and drink it, dad doesn't care, If i could have bottle water or gallons of water in the fridge at my disposable chilled i would be happy. Food... Again, Family is fat, Mother Loves sweets, Dad loves Diet soda and whatever is low in carb. They drink there espresso alot, and when it comes to meat, they buy the cuts they like and tell me to use it, and when i cook i want to cook for myself, but apparently when i cook i have to prepare for everyone, and i can't feed that many people with 1/2 or 1 pound of beef if i want to save it for now and maybe tomorrow. As far as friends, they are just being nice about it and telling me i am fine and don't understand how bad processed foods/carbs/sugar can really hurt someone as far as spiking blood sugars.
Honestly my problem is Eating to Much Cause I can eat healthy, like really healthy, i love borscht and veggies and ill eat about anything, and because of that ill eat alot. I can't even set a realistic goal, if i try I feel like its nothing, because I am like a guy who needs results now, like i may not that be patient.
So busy with school and thinking of college and even being part of track never helped.
Well thats my rant
My name is Josh I am 195 Ideal Weight: Removing my belly, followed by removing my hidden double chin *only depends on the direction of my face* and then my *gulp* breasts. I am a Sophomore, I am 15 and 1/2 years old, and all i have at my disposable are p90x video's for a workout (they are helpful, i just cant get motivated to do them) my parents wallet, but limited *Like no NY Strip steak, to much money or Organic Beef or Organic Chicken, My computer to stay in touch.
If someone could help me set a fair goal cause all i have in mind is "i need to weigh 130-140, so i need to loose 55lb, or If i get muscle i need to weight 150-160 so i need to loose 45-35 lb."
I would appreciate anyone who is willing to help and to actually take time to read this, its a rant i know, its long i know, well i gave my shot at it, for now all ican hope is that i do my workout tomorrow.

Lets knock down your problems one at a time. The benefit is your young and willing to change so you have your metabolism on you side.
Motivation is difficult and like tony quoted it comes from within. Unless your surrounded by people living this lifestyle temptation always is there. A lot of my friends are pretty lazy younger in high school they were all pretty bad to the bone guys but now it seems like there days revolve around beer and what they can do while drinking beer. I find most of my motivation comes from the environment around me. Im pretty lucky to have the ocean, woods, swamps, and meadows to play in. But a lot of my motivation is from watching what other people are doing and wanting to do it myself, the videos people post, pics you find print them out and plaster your walls. I had a poster of Arnold Schwarzenegger for years on my wall growing up.
Now into your food dilemma. Im an executive chef of a restaurant that serves fine dining food, lunch, breakfast, and has a banquet hall. Im also part owner of a catering business. I love all the food I create but I don't eat it. Occasionally I do. I was just away in the islands on vacation I ate my normal healthy diet but would eat out every night for dinner and some lunches one week equaled five pounds heavier but I don't care I came home ate healthy worked out and its gone. Being in the food business you have to learn to use all that wonderful tasting food as a treat. Not once a day but every couple days. I do know that all day long while i work im constantly tasting food but I don't think it ever amounts to much caloric intake its a normal touch taste or dip and taste. My diet is tons of raw fruit and vegetables, learn to love flax seeds you can grind them and put them in anything. not a big fan of nuts they get stuck in my teeth. I eat lots of fish and 90% of the red meat I eat is venison but thats something I harvest myself. Knowing food prices really well you can eat a lot cheaper only buying fresh vegetables and cheap lean proteins than all that junk food, soda, and prepared foods. A great protein to keep around is boiled chicken breasts there cheap and great cold just boil the whole pack and ice down then keep in the fridge there an awesome snack meal anything.
As for workouts go as hard as you can go doing anything for 20minutes. You might need to work up to it. Switch things up and get creative. Don't jog sprint, pushups theres a million different variations, situps theres a million and one different kinds, pullups, squats, jumps as high as you can and keep jumping till your spent. check out all the posts in this forum and go back there is lots of good work outs.
I don't know whats wrong with your feet and im not a doctor but have had my own foot problems and going barefoot helped me immensely now i wear feel max shoes
good luck

Ok..... i can give you a few small pieces of advice......firstly set yourself a goal of one pound a week weight loss...... it may not seem like much but 10 weeks is 10 lbs lost right??....... secondly try to see this as a different way of eating not a diet.... that way you wont feel like you're depriving yourself. For example today i ate a chicken breast with roasted veggies with home made gravy for my dinner..... it didn't feel like a "diet" at all!!.......Thirdly eat 6 small meals a day not 3 big ones....... part of your problem may be that your stomach is stretched way too big, so you have to eat a lot to feel full. (Your stomach should be the size of your fist or a medium sized cup..... can you really say you eat that little every meal time??) Next write down a list of all the foods you are allowed to eat, and some different meal ideas...... part of the problem can be not knowing what to eat, so you grab the nearest (bad) thing..... this may also help you cook a good variety for your folks which can really make you feel good if they say it's yummy .... and lastly try to find a way to motivate yourself....... maybe a poster up on your wall of someone you admire ....... keep posting with how you're getting on OK??....... and if you need some meal ideas just ask !! Nicki

Thanks for all the help, so far i am doing great, i noticed then i really just needed motivate to do my p90x workouts regularly.
Oh and i do have flaxeeds, my dad buys Organic Golden Flax Seeds, But only uses it in salads, any other recommendations are welcome.
Thanks Nicki, what would you say a good portion for 6 meals a day would be (Like maybe 1/2 a Romain head and 1-2 chicken thighs?)
I also want to note i have done 3 seasons of Indoor and Outdoor track, i do sprints but due to recent foot problems not as much as i used to do, and i DO SHOT PUTT AND DISCUS, I LOVE IT! Throwing a heavy 12 pound ball and throwing a 4 pound discus is fun.
So far only thing i am going a little to far on is Feta Cheese (not alot but a little), other then that i have avoided carbs, i make really small exceptions like the whole wheat 10 carb pita's if i really need restrain or the 5 carb tortilla's loaded with like tons of fiber.

Lots of good advice on here, and I really don't feel like I have much to contribute, but still, maybe it will help some, so here goes...
I'm a foodie, too, so I can definitely understand the need to LOVE what you're eating. I also know it's impossible to be completely in control of your life when you're young and living with your parents. So, maybe some days you REALLY want something tasty, but you just don't have tasty AND healthy available to you... maybe you have to choose between tasty and unhealthy or healthy and blah. These are the times that this exercise will come in handy .... SELF-BRIBERY!
To get myself to lay off the cokes, I had to bribe myself... "if I drink 3 bottles of water, I can have ANYTHING I want to drink, but until then, I HAVE to drink water". I'm not too fond of water. Well, by the time I'd get 3 bottles down me, cokes would be the last thing on my mind. And then, before I realized it, I'd gone a week without a single coke! I might drink a coffee or something else warm &/or relaxing, but I managed to cut the cokes. This change to my eating habits is working in the same way... I tell myself, "ok, once I spend all day grazing on nuts, seeds, fruits & berries, I can eat ANYTHING I want!" Well, I haven't eaten a healthy supper yet (I'm on day 2 of Stage1), but I feel so much better during the day while I'm grazing so my body is telling me right now that "hey, we need to make some changes in the night-time meal, too!"
Maybe you have the discipline to go for a week, before "treating" yourself, or maybe it's best to start with the day and eat whatever for supper, as the Stage1 plan says. In any case, just keep telling yourself, "If I can do _____ then, and ONLY THEN, can I have _____!"
Oh, and I totally agree with the power of visualization ... along with the posters of folks you admire, put up pictures of the type of healthy food you WANT to eat.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you figure out something that works for you!
