So i have been reading through the diet and the logic to how it works and i see no fault in it. However when it mentions that snacking on fruit and nuts until you have a large meal is a problem for me. I can eat most fruit (not grapefruit :p) although it does not fill me up very much and usually causes me to snack on something naughty soon after i eat it. Is there are advice that you guys know of to prevent me from doing this?

Also im not too keen on nuts, i can sometimes manage almonds but its a bit iffy. Are there any alternatives that you guys would recommend.
Thanks

Sunflower seeds are good especially if you buy de- shelled ones..... they taste really nutty.....pumpkin seeds are nice too.

Try fruit which is more filling..... berries are pretty good because they contain anti-oxidants. One or two bananas a week are OK too, as they contain potasium...... so before or after exercise.

Hi there

I am new to the forum but i have tried this various ways of eating and tweeking things here and there to find what suits. I find if i snack on things it just triggers hunger and i start eating and if i don't i  feel like crap.

I now do the following and it seems to be ok:

I intermittent fast normally 14/10 or 16/8
I eat twice in my eating window of time

I am not strictly caveman but close enough at this stage. I find it hard to eat one big meal. and yes i drink coffee with milk.

Sometimes i feel we can get caught up with extreme views on these things.  We are all different and what may be comfortable for one may not work for another.

I was on high fat/low carb and i put on weight/cholesterol went through the roof..so go figure.  I had to find my own sweet spot so to speak.

Regards

The Captain,

The only thing you can do really is keep at it....... eating carbs all the time got you into the bad habit of feeling "full" rather than " not hungry".... they do feel different, and can take a bit of getting used to.

Maybe your stomach is enlarged. Getting into a routine of eating less your stomach should return to it's natural size then you'll feel full. You might just feel "not full" until that starts to happen. You may just have to have faith and tough it out. I admit when I went to stage 2's one meal a day I was very hungry for a week or two then after that it felt normal.
