I am 18 years old, I weight 19 stone and I am 5ft10. I am not very good at explaining things so I will try to explain the best I can. I play football now and again with my friends and for a large person I like to think I am pretty quick and strong, other than that I do little to no exercise. I have never played football at a competitive level like my friends but would love too but I lack the stamina and confidence. I am pretty sure if I did play football for a club I would not be the worst on the team although I may be easy to run past I can hassle opponents and force them to make mistakes just as easily as they run past me. Another interest I have is boxing I have never done any serious boxing unless boxing with one glove each against my friend in his garden, when we are supposed to be weight training. I found this site by chance and I'm glad I did. I have read nearly all the pages and have decided to give it ago. I have recently lost 2 stone due to me having chest pain although the doctor thinks its muscle pain, since then I have began to slowly eat more but I have not gone up in weight…yet.

Hello and welcome Smiley

I would say the first thing to do is take a look at your portion sizes....... you stomach SHOULD be the size of your fist..... If you're putting in more food than that every meal time then your stomach has been  stretched.

If you eat all the good foods recommended here then you will certainly lose weight, and as for the excercise, anything that gets you moving will help......... even walking up and down stairs instead of using the lift.

Good luck to you, and feel free to ask anything as you go along !!

Hello and welcome to the tribe!
I second everything liknicki says, and I hope you stick with this lifestyle. The energy boost it will give you should see you exercising more simply because you can't sit still, and that will help with the weight loss.
Getting active is a big part of this lifestyle - I don't think it's just me but there's something about eating primally that makes you want to move and get outside and be in nature etc.
I'll stop hippying now!!

Best of luck

Oh yessss.  I cant wait to start this immediately.  I am a very active person. I work a physical job and i love rock climbing. Totally into diets.  Lately tho i have been slipping and i weigh in at about 226 pounds right now. should be around 200.  my only concern is my job requires so many calories that im not sure this will be easy haha.  I am an ironworker by trade and  everything i touch is freaking heavy plus climbing around on the building all day takes its toll. should be fun. im into it!!

Howdy.

You might try just doing stage 2 days when your off work. Don't want to be woozy walking along a girder, ouch.

Once your body gets use to getting it's energy from fats instead of carbs thou(a few weeks), go crazy and I bet you'll have more stamina than before.

I have a friend that was an Army Ranger and only ate one meal a day. He's retired now but still only has one meal a day, but he drinks too many beers and is starting to get a beer belly  Grin

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
