Hello to all,

My Name is Nick from Romford England, I have been nosing around the forum for a short while and have started phase one.  Would like to state now that I am a big guy, not far off the 400lb mark so I am desperate for this to work, having tried various other diets in my life.

Finding it quite good at the moment, picking at various unsalted nuts and fresh berries in the day, followed by my feast which is anything in the freezer that does not fit it with phase 2.  Am not feeling too hungry, although I am still craving a beer in the evenings, this I will hope will disappear soon.

The excercise, which I realise is a big part of this new lifestyle will come along as and when I lose a little weight, I can walk ok but that about it.

I feel like getting into phase 2, the weight loss part quickly, maybe next week but wondered what peoples views on this were..

Still, I plan to be a regular poster and will chat about my progress, good or bad and hope to make some new friends on site..

Oh, I am also picking up some pointers on the Daily Apple website that looks choc full of information,

Best wishes to all you cavemen and women,
Nick

GOOD LUCK Nick. it does get easier as time goes on and you will feel great so stick with it, on phase 2 if you can't just have one feast a day still snack a bit on fruit and nuts but make sure your feast is the '  "good" food. keep us updated on your progress! Smiley

Hey

Welcome

My advice and I hope people would agree - Don't "try" to lose weight that will happen just stick to good healthy primal/paleo food and move in some form or other.

As for stage two don't rush it if you spend the four weeks advised for phase one your body should be well on the way to becoming  a fat burning machine then phase two is much easier (from my own experience)

As for weight i started @ approx 322lbs in three months i lost 60lbs with out trying. these are estimates because i have dieted before and didn't want to get into the manic weighing myself every morning

Stick with it and you will find you won't look back

Hello All,

Thanks for the welcome, I have spent this week in my spare time researching into this way of living and i am totally convinced that this is going to work for me.
I am on my 6th day of phase one and while i am not going to bother weighing myself, I can already feel that things are changing for the better. I'm feeling lighter of my feet for some reason, not sweating so much while walking around and generally feel more alert.
I cannot wait for phase 2 as i feel i can already go a day without snacking but i will follow advice and keep on phase one for at least 3 weeks.
I just wish i had stumbled onto this site earlier,
Best wishes to all

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
