i can understand phase 1 cause you are eating all day but i've always been taught if you skip meals you are tell your body you are fasting and to lay fat. and also so it slows your metabalism down.
so how do we still lose weight?

Hi there, I thought the exact same thing when I first started Paleo - years of old fashioned dieting propaganda! Actually, research now shows that short periods of fasting (<24 hours) are actually GOOD for the body. There was alot of information on this at MarksDailyApple, I think it is called. Anyway, I have been on stage 2 for 1 week, and lost 2.4 pounds this week (started at 165), so fasting seems NOT to slow down weight loss at all. At least that is my experience. I also exercise every other day (walking) and do yoga daily. But at the start, I made a leap of faith and I decided to try it and see, and have lost 12.2 so far along the way! I am 62, and always thought morning aches and pains were a normal part of growing old - now they have all but vanished!
Some of the other more seasoned users may also have more information, but wanted to give you my experience with Stage2.
Good luck!

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
