I dont know if there is a similar thread but i thought we could all take pictures of the food we cook and maybe describe in short how we cooked it. Sharing of knowledge was a vital thing in a tribe, or so i believe. So lets share. Im gonna start with my breakfast today. -2 boiled eggs -One big mushroom that i prefried in a frying pan with olive oil. -Iceberg lettuce -Tomato -Red peppers -Seasoned with some kind of salads spice I had laying around. -Once on the plate put some olive oil on top of it. For dinner i had: -One chicken breast fried in olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika powder or whatever it's called -One carrot fried in olive oil -Zucchini also fried in olive oil -One egg to top it all of. All fried in the same frying pan with olive oil. What you dont see is a regular salad i had on the side as well.

Todays breakfast: -Egg -Tomato -Zucchini Fry the eggs first and then you put em on the side. Then you fry the tomatoes and zucchini until they have a nice color. Put in the eggs again and mix it all together. I seasoned with salt and pepper during the cooking but once it was done i topped it of with a pinch of oregano.

Had some leftover chicken from yesterday so i cooked up something fast. Feel free to notify me if i am straying from the paleo path with my cooking. -Leftover chicken -Leftover beef from beef jerky recipe. Cooked the leftovers. Ended up really tasty with the marinade. -Mushrooms -Aubergine/eggplant -Red peppers -Zucchini (again, i know. Bought to many =P) -Sallad on the side with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce

No updates today. Am on my way to a camping trip. We are going to celebrate the Swedish Midsommar (mid summer) . Stupid Swedish tradition where grown ups are dancing around a big pole singing silly songs and getting drunk and eating unhealthy food Supposedly this kind of tradition existed long ago with the tribes. Fertility ritual basically. Welcoming the sun and all its life giving properties. Dont know why we still have it but its been around since i can remember. Have a nice weekend!!

Hi I think I saw some French beans/green beans in that last meal? Legumes are a no-no, I'm afraid. Apart from that, they all look good - and delicious - to me.

It's due to some technicalility...... i can't remember what ( if it's any consolation i eat them sometimes).
I do think that all those years ago, cavemen had different food available than today due to evolution...... who's to say what they ate or didn;t eat....... can't say I've ever seen a cave painting with green beans and a big red cross through it.... I'd say don't sweat the small stuff.

Long time since i uploaded a picture. Well here is one from today. I had a sugar craving and what do I do when I have that? I make Almond Macaroons Healthy and delicious 1-1/4 cups almonds 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons grated lemon peel 2 egg whites, beaten 1/8 cup raw honey 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Grind almonds coarsely. Combine cinnamon and lemon and add. Beat egg whites very stiff, fold in honey and continue beating. Fold in lemon juice with almond mixture and blend. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased parchment paper. Bake 30 minutes at 250 degrees F. Remove from paper while still slightly warm. Makes 4 macaroons. The original recipe used 1/4 cup raw honey but it was way to sweet for me. Recipe found on marksdailyapple.com

High carb content and only moderate protein content(there's better lower carb choices, bang for buck)... http://www.marksdailyapple.com/beans-legumes-carbs/...so beans depend on if your a caveman looking to lose weight or not. I put potatos in the same niche. If your trying to lose weight go easy on them. The beans in that pic look so minimal, I wouldn't sweat that amount.

Todays dinner was delicious. Meatloaf with lemon cabbage and some chili sauce. Meatloaf recipe from here: http://cavemanstrong.com/2010/10/paleo-meatloaf/The cabbage i made myself. Some cabbage, and some fresh salad leafs. Take the cabbage and put it in a pan with your favorite cooking fat. Add some salt, pepper, marjoram and some lemon juice. Once its cooked add the salad leafs and mix together.

Thank you. Ever since i started with this diet ive woken some kind of love for cooking inside of me. Before the diet i never used to cook. Well besides eggs in the morning sometimes. I guess if you have the time and the passion then everything will come with time and practice. Just keep experimenting. Make it an adventure

Mark had a good article a while back about the health benefits of variety in our diets. Had a lot of meatloaf over since yesterday. So today was "what can you do with meatloaf day" What i did was cook some carrots and mushrooms and mixed them with salad. I mashed the meatloaf and mixed in that chili sauce from yesterday and then heated it in a pan. Put it in a little bowl and then put it on the plate. Took me 10-15 minutes to prepare it all. Question: I bought some coconut fat. Its like this big white brick, kinda hard. I used it to cook with today. Is this the same as coconut butter? Because that is all i can find around here. Thank you and you are all welcome to post pictures of your own in the thread

Breakfast! I devoured these like it was my last day on earth Banana pancakes. Mix together one banana, 2 eggs and 1 tbsp of almond flour. Put them in the pan on medium high heat and wait for the sides to get a little brownish before turning them since they are a little delicate when cooked. Found the recipe here on the forums but it required almond butter which i don't have so i tried it like this and it ended up delicious
