Hi, I started this diet last week.

I'm gonna keep track of my progress here.

Started at 193lbs, I'm 5'10" and am hoping to get down to 165.

Currently at 189 (Day 6)

Good for you. I am also a newbie. We are neck and neck right now! Lost 4 pounds in 6 days, no beer or wine, solely water. Easier than I thought it would be, how tough for you?

Woo!
It's been kinda tough for me. Mainly because there has been a few occasions where I've found myself with friends all drinking and eating. But I've managed to do it rather healthy so far!
Hoping this comes through for me! I really wanna lose this weight Cheesy

Thanks dude!

Man it is really hard to eat healthy when going to friends' places or bars and things. Had pizza last night because it was the only thing available. Sad It didn't taste too great either I felt really guilty. But no matter, I'm still in the first week anyway!

Will weigh myself tomorrow again and report back.

Damn, my friends get me again!

Beer and chips for dinner.

At least tomorrow I can be fully in control of my diet for a while. Here's where the hardcore paleo starts.

If you're following the stages, then technically you're allowed to eat whatever you like for your feast on stage 1, so don't worry about it too much. As long as you're paleo during the day, you'll still be training your body to recognise good food from bad.
You'll probably get to the stage where you'd rather not eat at all than eat something like that. And if not - well, everyone cheats now and again!

Well done Derris!

I started the same time as you, I am down to 192 from 203. Ran a 5K yesterday in 25:22, last time at old weight I ran 28.30.
I feel SO much better. Parsnips, carrots and onions for dinner tonight. i wouldn't have imagined that a few weeks ago!

I admit I had a beer binge Thursday....probably the biggest reason I didn't drop more. Just hanging out with my mates at a show....could i have said 'no thanks, I am beered out??' Probably but cant be too extreme can we.

Thinking of stage 2 yet?
