I'm still on vampire shift for as far as I can see. You need like 10 years here to work days. I guess I'm used to it though.

My days go like this. Water and sometimes coffee for breakfast. I try to workout for 30 minutes before I shower for work.

Since I work a 12 hour shift I always take grazing foods(nuts, pig skins, veggies, fruit) with me but try not to eat them as long as I can.

When I get home about 08:30 I make a high protein, high fat meal with lots of veggies.

My treats are small like 1/4 ounce pieces of very good dark chocolate. I know it's not paleo but I've read some good things about small amounts of dark chocolate and it keeps me away from the nasty vending machines at work. Plus they keep candy bowls around here all the time. I'm tempted to put a poison sticker on them  Grin

How many years have you been with your employer?

5 this Nov.

Not too bad hours, 19:30 - 07:45 Sun-Tue, 19:30 - 01:30 Wed.

Off Thu, Fri, Sat. I started out on weekend nights. Worked that for almost 2 years. Never saw any of my friends.

I don't really have a target. I am just letting the the diet do its thing. I figure my body will find its ideal weight on its own.

hey congrats on your weight loss. I've lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks I think and I haven't been completely going with the diet (though I am getting there). And I am getting closer to my ideal weight so I've lost a good amount....keep it up!

It's also car rally season. I'm heading up to Eureka Springs AR for a Spyder Rally in the Ozark Mountains this weekend.

I'm sure the diet will suffer a little with the restaraunt food and the clubbing after dark Grin
I'll try to stick to Paleo as much as possible. I'm sure I'll be cheating a little thou.

I did work off a couple pounds this weekend installing a cruise control on my car on Saturday. What a pain, took about 6 hours to install, then about 4 hours to adjust and troubleshoot wiring connections. Quick connects are a joke.

LOL! all that work just so you can relax while driving  Grin

As far as the eating out goes while on a road trip. Screw it! Live a little! I choose to use this diet as guide to everyday eating and overall health but I make it a point to indulge occasionally. I have found that the occasional indulgence provides more satisfaction than frequent indulgence. You know...absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I've been wanting cruise for a long time. 10 hour drive to Eureka Springs seemed like a good excuse.

Last year when I drove back from Colorado(straight thru), about 20 hours, I got pretty good at switching to my left leg to operate the gas pedal and give my right leg a rest. Biggest pain was laying on my back wrenching up under the dash. There's just no room to work up under there.

I'm sure I'll be hitting that Arkansas Homestyle cooking. But. like you said it's the long term stuff that gets us, not an occasional lapse.

23lbs down!! wow!

Its great to see you are doing so well. I am trying to gain some weight back, I dropped down to 122 these past 2 weeks... guess I have become a little forgetful about eating. I used to struggle with anorexia so gaining weight was never a problem for me, it was losing too much... Guess no matter what side of the spectrum you are on you still have to keep an eye out!  Shocked

Sound like a good excuse to eat PIZZA!  Grin I have not had a single slice since living like a cave man but one of my favorite things use to be a slice of peperoni pizza and a cold beer. OH god! I just drooled all over my keyboard.

Survived all the twisties in the Ozarks this weekend. Stayed pretty much on Paleo diet except a couple of great burgers with the guys/gals. Was tough to hang tough at lunch place Saturday, choices for veggies with my grilled shrimps were, mashed potatos, baked potatos, or french fries. Went with the mashed covered in gravy and a side of fried okra, WTH Smiley

Was kind of dreading weigh-in this morning but I didn't gain a pound, Yoohoo. I did take a lot of fruit and nuts to munch on.

That makes sense, in a weird sort of way. Hunter S. Thompson thought he was getting greedy at 67.

Not as scary as you might think. I just kept reminding myself that people jump thousands of times a day without any problems. Maybe a couple get killed a year but the odds are still very good.  I would say its something that everybody should do at least once just for the experience.
