Hello. I'm a 5'8" 23 year old female who is around 160 and I want to get down to 150. The main reason I'm doing this is for energy and long term health. Today was my first day and I felt really weird. Cranky and out of it, but hopefully that will chance. My real question is how much grazing is too much? I've always been super active and therefore ate quite a lot, so I'm not surprised eating less is hard for me. However today i swear I ate constantly. I ate an entire cantaloupe, half a cucumber, two avocados, a tangerine, and some almonds and cashews. I feel like the only thing I'm doing right is drinking lots and lots of water! Is it normal to eat this much? Is it OK if I scale back slowly? I tend to get really mean and cranky when I don't eat so i don't want to deprive myself too much. My roomates and boyfriend might kill me Smiley

Any thoughts or advice?

Does not sound like too much grazing to me if your active.

You'll lose the weight being off the grains and starches.

sounds like you arent eating too much, if you are hungry then eat! especially if you turn cranky if you dont eat (I get that way too) I have to eat every 2 hours even if its a small snack in order for me to stay happy and not at people's throats. there is no need to starve yourself. Houmax is right though, you will lose weight just by not eating the grains and starches.  Cool  keep up the good work!
