Hi,

What nuts are allowed in stage 1? Are cashews allowed?

I think cashews are out because they require processing before you  can eat them...... My favourites are almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts...... You can also have seeds like sunflower and pumpkin. Also berries are good as they are high in antioxidants .

Welcome and great job as it appears you jumped in feet first, losing 12 pounds in 9 days!  Just make sure your body and mind are ready for jump to stage 2, which it seems to be.  I feel that many drop out during this transition and these stages, I feel, are more or less guidelines.  I believe they should be flexible to ensure success so even if you did stage one, and week 3 was a hybrid week, it will help ease the transition.  Best of luck and once again, great job!!!
