Hello Scoob, if you feel the weight isnt coming off quick enough then my only suggestion is to try and reduce your portion sizes, and mix it up.You can have so many different fruits and veg so keep switching up your diet so you don't get bored. Also don't be too focused on what the scales are telling you, do what makes you happy and look in the mirror more. The most dangerous thing with weight-loss is to lose it too quickly. You've lost a stone so far. thats great, well done. You're doing great, don't punish yourself Scoob.

Food & Diet / Re: New with questions

I would honestly say stick to the Phase 1 program for as long as you can.  I know it is ideal to get the protein in your body right after working out; however you can eat a protein rich dinner to help offset this a little.  I have done this diet many years back and I went into it knowing I was going to lose a little energy and gains when it came to the gym.  On the other side of it though my overall health increased and it was just a trade off. Once  you get to phase 3 you will be able to consume the animal protein after your workout and your body will respond pretty amazingly to this and you will get all your gains back.

Just my thought on the question.

Food & Diet / Re: The Topic of Milk, Coffee and Neqbie Questions

Also, I haven't browsed the forums extensively but I have seen a few answers to the following but nothing that really answers my questions fully.

What is the stance on alcohol?

From what I've seen this diet reprograms our bodies to crave only the good things by resetting our systems.
The one meal a day thing could also be simulating a full day of hunting then finally the feast at the end of the day from your kill.
Of course as foragers, we have the possibility of adding fruit or nuts on occasion as we passed them.
Especially if our past selves used pursuit predation.
While pursuing the prey we could grab a few nuts or berries along the way.

Anyways, back to my point. Are we trying to shock our systems and reset and does adding other things like Milk, Coffee, Alcohol or any other contaminants effect the process?
Or is this not about resetting the system and whatnot?
Are there scientific facts?

That's all my questions for now.

Food & Diet / The Topic of Milk, Coffee and Neqbie Questions
« Last post by Conchobear on August 21, 2015, 12:30:26 PM »
I have read here that sometimes Coffee is allowed and that Milk is on the fence a bit.

The argument there is that our bodies evolved to be able to ingest it because of all the benefits it has.

My question is, Does it count as a meal?

Babies drink milk as a meal. So is drinking milk while in the 2nd Stage allowed? And what about coffee? I find coffee keeps me from being hungry.
Also what are the thoughts about drinking it in the grazing period in Stage 1?

I want to get the best out of my body and I'm really into odd things like this plus this should help shed a few extra pounds I have and cut down on food cost.

If anyone has insight I would love to hear it. Or even opinions.
I'm new to this, Day 1 was good although I didn't have nuts or fruit so I just fasted. Is that advised or should I be grazing as part of the process?
