Hello there! My name is Allyson and for many years I've struggled with my weight. I'm 5'8", 23yrs old and 226lbs, I'd say that my weight is proportionate as most would never guess I weigh as much as I do, but my body knows. I'm tired of feeling so unhealthy and I'm in desperate need of a change.

I love fruits and vegetables and nuts so I don't think starting this diet will be an overly huge challenge for me, but I think my problem will be letting go of the caffeine. HOW can I do that?! I feel like I've lived on it for years and its my morning ritual to grab an energy drink out of the fridge in order to move on with my day. Were any of you huge caffeine drinkers before you started this diet? Did you ease into the no caffeine lifestyle or go cold turkey? I know of the huge headache associated with caffeine withdrawl and its definitely not something I'm looking forward to, but I suppose I can just keep ibuprofen handy if that's my only option.

Any other recommendations on what made the transition easier for you?

Thanks a bunch. Smiley

This is such a good diet i started it 3 days ago and already lost 4lbs in the process. For your caffeine fix i would have to say start making healthier options as in non sugared tea. ex. Green tea, earl grey tea, ginger tea. Hey and if it is hot outside you could make it the day before and put it in the fridge at night and make it chilled for the next morning. Tea is a great alternative other then energy drinks. SO MANY CALORIES IN THOSE DRINK, and they are VERY unhealthy for you. Glad to see your starting this Cheesy. Ive completely cut starch out of my diet, and i will continue to do so for another 3 weeks then eventually add wild brown rice and oatmeal. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the response! I started the diet yesterday and it went really well, this morning when I woke up I had a bit of a headache so I took your suggestion and made some green tea. Although without the sugar it wasn't quite as appetizing to my taste buds (that are used to an overload of sugar) it has seemed to help a bit. So far, so good! I woke up this morning 3 lbs lighter than yesterday but that could be a combination of things, not just the diet so I'm not getting too excited yet! I definitely have high hopes for this though, and I intend to make it a lifestyle. I want to be healthier for the long term.

Good for you Cheesy. Dont weigh yourself every day though. every 3-7days as it can fluctuate a lot depending what you eat that certain day. For the sugar content you could add some lemon juice (actual lemons) not the squeeze bottle stuff. Tastes great in a cold and hot green tea.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
