Ok, I have heard about the caveman diet, and have been doing it for a few months now, but I have not been following any of the rules nor do I have any idea what I am doing.

1) I am not a cook, I am in the Navy and do not have access to any cooking utensils. So what I have been doing is buying Lunch meat and multi-grain or whole wheat crackers and eating that periodically throughout the day. I eat alot of Apples and Bananas. And I drink alot of Dark Juice like pom, acai, and cran. Otherwise I just drink water. However after a few months of doing this I am getting really tired of Turkey Breast sliced meat and crackers. I don't even know if what I am doing is good or bad.

2) I take No-Xplode before working out, they say it has no sugar, but will it effect the Paleo diet?

I need help, I have a microwave and a sink, its the only things I am aloud to have, what can I buy and make myself that will coinside with the diet. And is it ok to keep eating crackers and lunch meat?

Thanks,
BP

Welcome Smiley

Well i have a bit of advice for you...... crackers contain wheat, and shouldn't really be eaten on this diet..... why not try rice cakes with a topping (otherwise they can be a bit dry!!)....... how about hummous (chick peas and oil)....... tuna mayonaise ( eggs and oil)....... also the packet ham probably contains a fair few additives.... you can have any cold meat you've cooked earlier = chicken /ham/beef/pork/turkey....... as for other snacks.... one of my favourites is a baked sweet potato which only take a few minutes in the microwave.......... you can have tuna/meat/egg with it, and a side salad of course Smiley...... you can also snack on any fruit and raw veggies..... and lastly, i've just descovered hard boiled eggs!!..... i keep a few in the fridge for nibbling on!!

Let me know if you need any more recipe ideas

Nicki

pS I have just re-read this. and had a little chuckle!!... not sure how you're supposed to boil an egg in a microwave, so why not scramble instead!!....... simply break an egg into a bowl, whisk gently with a fork, then cook on 20 second blasts with a quick stir in between ....enjoy Smiley

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
