I've heard of something called a meatza but I'm not sure what it is.

You can eat peporoni if you like as well as cheese and tomatoes.

Your just craving the easy carbs in bread, it will pass with time.

How about some inspiration instead?

never been fond of pizza... but I have found that taking a large piece of salami and putting some marinara sauce and melting cheese on it (if you are one of the cavepeople that still eat cheese) is a good alternative. maybe add some olives or other toppings... pepperoni is my arch enemy so thats why I suggest salami. my husband makes them as snack food.

or even have "pizza chicken" just a chicken breast stuffed with pizza toppings... no bread but very delicious, even i approve and like i said earlier, I'm not fond of pizza.

I hear ya. I live just fine without pizza, or "faux pizza"  Grin

PaNu is right thou, a simple search provides tons of recipes for paleo pizza...

...it may just be me but I kind of enjoy eating natural Paleo foods. I don't feel the need to try to concoct some look-a-like food of foods I gave up for better health  Roll Eyes

I know they say don't plan on cheats but if it's a food you really like just go crazy and have some every once in a while. Usually these kind of cheats will make you feel like crap after you've been off grains and will only remind you how much better you feel eating Paleo in the first place.

You guys are the best, thank you so much.  I don't want to eat cheese so I am going to stay away from the idea of trying to make a pizza.  I miss it because here at my house on Tuesday's it's pizza night. It's been that way for a couple of years.  Since I've been on Paleo, I have avoided getting the kids pizza by telling them that I have too much food to prepare for them in the fridge but I feel bad keeping pizza away from them.   I will get it for them tomorrow since they are on Spring break and I want this to be a great week for them.  I have a lot of fun things planned so it will keep them and myself busy.  I'll just make sure that they eat their pizza at around the same time as I have my one meal so that I can get full at the same time and not be tempted. I love salami and pepperoni, think I'll put pieces of that in my chef salad when I have that for dinner!

Thanks for keeping me straight!
