i've been on this caveman diet for 2 days and im use to working out. Im always outside regardless, running or hiking. Being new to this i was wondering if i could suplement certain things that i've done in past routines ( protein shakes, wheat germ, oats, honey with my tea as opposed to sugar) i don't drink soda's so thats not a problem but being from alabama giving up sweat tea is a challenge lol. I started this as means to get more of a result from my workouts and find a sutable nutrition plan. Any advice would be usefull

thanks, McCary

Protein shakes, wheat germ and oats are all out as they are not paleo. Cold meats/hard boiled eggs/fruit/ nuts and seeds will serve you just as well......as for the honey.... it's ok occasionally, but in every cup of tea is probably too much, so how about weaning yourself off it slowly.

If you're buying smoked meats from the deli counter it's likely to contain preservatives etc, so not ideal. If you buy a chicken or joint of beef ( raw) it will have nothing added, so just cook it and allow to cool...... will keep in the fridge for several days. Beef jerky may or may not contain artificial flavourings/preservatives depending on the brand, so either avoid or make your own.

Keep up the good work Smiley

well as far as smoked meat goes i intended on doing that myself it's not to much trouble and it keeps for a good while. i've got a dehidrater as well wich i was wondering if i could use that to dehidrate fruits and such things as well, im not sure how much nutrients u lose when dehidrating fruits though. im definatly starting to have more energy. all the caffein and starches really do slow you down, make u crash. i was getting caffein headaces but there goin away now. this is day 5 i feal pretty good actually, thinkin about buying some chickens lol.  thanks for the help and i will  Smiley

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
