http://www.wavy.com/dpp/news/local_news/sexually-explicit-quilt-on-display

this is an article from one of my local news sites.

I am deeply disturbed over the fact that people find showing of female genitalia to be offensive, especially when it is not shown in a sexual manner. Yet the idea of a nude female is considered sexual, but because she is nude... Why is this?! Why are people so disgusted by the human form? This really bothers me and makes me glad that I am a nudist and I can appreciate my body and the bodies of others without thinking of them in a sexual way just because they are nude.

They say its because the kids will see. You know how many kids i see running around the local nudist sites? Lots, and how many people grew up apart of these camps and not a single one is sexually perverse. they are all fun loving, peaceful, and moral people... and growing up going to nudist camps made them appreciate their bodies and the wonder of the human body in general.

Gasp! How dare they show a naked female! Please, spare me the prudishness...  Angry
or perhaps I am being over sensitive about the human race becoming so distanced from their natural ways that they can't look at a nude body and not think sexual thoughts....

A few years back, my wife and I went to our state capitol to testify to the senate, in favor of a bill that would protect the rights of women to breastfeed in public without fear of harrassment (which I'm happy to say, just passed a few months ago).  Some of the stodgy old people seated in the hearing room were aghast to think of people possibly being exposed to the sight of part of a woman's naked breast.  One of the women who had also come to testify in favor of the bill very astutely pointed out that, painted on the ceiling and walls of the very room in which we were all sitting, were classical depictions of robe- and toga-wearing women, many of whom were quite nude from the waist up.  This garnered a few chuckles from everyone in the room, and did a good job of pointing out that, depending on the context, the nude human form can be regarded more as artistic than pornographic.

This all seems like much ado about nothing.  People who are uncomfortable in the presence of nudity are people with sexual issues and unhealthy hang-ups.  They need to get over themselves and seek the necessary help in working through their problems.  Many of them probably believe that having a *GASP* sexual thought is, in and of itself, somehow "bad," "wrong," or "immoral."  This, of course, probably most often stems from the brain-twisting of organized religion, which... eh, don't get me started...

Right there with you Tony!  I know I will be breastfeeding, but its a shame that the state I live in completely looks down on it. This state if full of some seriously conservative people though and it doesn't help that its a commonwealth... A poll on that website shows that close to half of the people that visited the site were offended by the quilt. That just makes me think that a whole bunch of old folk have nothing better than to sit on the computer and read the news all day...  Tongue  It is a damn shame though, but the US is a nation built on Puritan values so what can we expect.

Just tonight I went to a local Drum Circle and it was amazingly fun, had the belly dancers dancing around a bonfire, dancing to the beat of the drums. Women young and old swaying their hips and enjoying the flow of their bodies. It was an amazing and empowering site, women are so beautiful, no matter what age!  I wonder how many people would be offended by our lavish swaying of hips! :p

Definitely artistic, but in a sad sort of way. Where's the father?
And I was breastfed for over a year so clearly I have no problem with it.

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
