 Grin

Greetings folks. I'm Sj. I am 47 years old, overweight, energetic (I know, contradiction in terms), generally very happy with my life which is mostly caring for my elderly mother and writing. With bouts of yoga and Kendo in between. My exercise regime revolves around those two things, my rowing machine and racquet sports.

I have had a very poor relationship with food since I was a kid. I go through phases of eating horrible junk, and phases where I literally don't want to eat anything at all. Dinner parties and eating out at restaurants make me anxious (no idea why, just don't really like eating in public), and my middle is a source of embarrassment.

I drink lots of water, always have done, and generally speaking I am healthy as a horse.

My goal, is to lose the middle bit of fatty flab and gain some stomach muscle (it's there… somewhere), the rest of me is in good proportion to my general build and generally quite firm and well muscled, and I am quite happy with everywhere else.

Any tips or tricks, or recipes very gratefully received.

Hi Sj.  Sounds like you've already got a pretty good handle on the exercise end of things.  I'm confident that if you look over this forum and follow the nutritional advice found throughout, you'll enjoy excellent results.

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
