Is there any hayfever suffering Cavepeople on here??

I maybe jumping the gun here, but in recent years, I would have been suffering by now and taking copious amounts of antihistamine, to get through the day. So far though, I haven't been suffering.....Yet, but this may change through out the (UK) summertime.  So what I'm asking is, has anyone noticed an improvement? I started this in February,so this is the first summer as a caveman.

Iain,

That exactly why i started the diet. I went to an ENT and they told me about the caveman diet to control my wicked allergies.I always suffered with Hayfever all my life.I could loose days at a time with NO energy and blinding headaches. Their diet is  not exactly as Matt has it here, but the same principles. I have cut out all yeast  (actually I lie, beer has yeast!) and all processed food. No dairy, wheat, yeast, moldy foods ( mushrooms etc). How are my allergies? Way better, but I still need my nasal spray each day. I start shots Wednesday to make me immune, but no doubt the diet has helped immensely. After the shots I could go off the diet but I am absolutely sticking with it.
I may start a new post regards my 'modified" Caveman diet the allergist gave to me, to see if I qualify as a caveman!!

To answer your question, I believe you will have way less reaction this year. Best of luck with that, I know how tough it can be.

Hi Iain, I'm UK-based as well as you, and you're right, by now I would be suffering, but I'm not. I was wondering whether it was to do with the Paleo lifestyle, because with all the sun we've had for the last week there are flowers everywhere, but I'm just waltzing past them without a care. I really think it has made a difference.

I'm not scared of daffodils anymore - whoop!

I started my immunization shots yesterday against hayfever and other allergies, interesting part is that since going on the diet I don't think I really need them...However, shots + caveman living must be a good thing.

Iain, let us know how you make out. Will be interesting reading for me and Falcon at least!

Snaker.

PS: Down 13lbs in 3 weeks, plus feeling HEALTHIER all the time. Please excuse the newbee enthusiasm......

Hi guys

I'm going to go out on a limb here and tempt fate: THE PALEO LIFESTYLE HAS CURED MY HAYFEVER!  Shocked  Grin  Cheesy

I really mean it, the UK has had the hottest April on record - there are flowers, grass, cut grass, shrubs, tree blossom everywhere. I'd normally be in flowery hell by now, but the most I get is a very mild itching of the eyes occasionally, and I sneeze maybe half a dozen times per week - last year it was half a dozen times per hour!

Healthy, getting fitter, getting leaner, better skin, more energy, no allergies... THANK YOU PRIMAL MAN, and thank you all for your support in getting me going on this journey!

This is the perfect incentive - craving junk food? It'll make me sneeze. Want bread? I'll get watery eyes. Fancy pizza? I'll come out in a rash. Hooray!
