I started three weeks ago on the caveman diet. I weighted 211.4 lbs. The very next morning I weighed 208.4. Every morning for the first week, my weight came down to a low of 205.4 in six days. Then, my evening meal was the seafood Alfredo at Olive Garden and I held water like mad because that dish has 2400 grams of sodium.
By the time I got to the end of the second phase, it had been two weeks. On the first day of week two, I faltered because I had that light headed feeling and I didn't like it. I am in the Army and we have to PT a lot and i was like "this is crazy. I have to eat" So I made myself a six eggwhite omelet with one whole egg and two slices of Roman Meal wheat bread and jam. I know I failed. Does anyone think I should redo phase one again, or just jump right back into phase two?

Some people have trouble with stage 2 when the have physical type jobs.

I'd suggest move on to Stage 3 on work days and try Stage 2 on your off days and when your on leave,

This is our second time doing the Caveman eating. The first time (2 years ago) was fantastic and we realized how much we missed it. We did notice that we liked the flexibility of each stage being from 2 wks to 8 wks/+ . My boyfriend has a high stress/busy job, therefore he does stage 1 longer before he goes to stage 2. Otherwise, like you, he gets lightheaded during the day. He will start stage 2 when there is a holiday,  a long weekend or when he has extra time to adjust. I have noticed myself that the longer I go in Stage 1 - the easier it is to move into stage 2. You will notice in stage 1, your body needs to "graze" less during the day and you easily drink more water. I feel that my body lets me know when it is ready for stage 2 - mentally and physically.

Stick with it - everyone has the "cheat/mess up" time - just don't lose sight of the purpose. Take the time if you  need to. It feels amazing.
