Hey guys,

Im researching the Paleo diet for some time now, and i found this website and I really like the "idea" or the "concept" behind the Caveman Power diet.

But before attempting this style of eating, I would like to get some questions answered. Thank you.

Im 21 a very active guy, lifting weights, doing aerobis,  and boxing, often all at the same day. Im eating also lots of food, too. My  long term goal  is to be healthy, look good, and be the best athletic i can be.

Now, how would I get all the calories I need (2500-3500?) in one sitting?  Is anybody here in a similar situation and found a good way to accomplish that?  I think I could drop some pounds of fat, but what about muscle gain, and athletic perfomence. thats more of my intent.

I really want to change my diet, I always was interested in this, for future health maybe.Smiley
Thank you for suggestions.

Hello and welcome....

If you are constantly active and training, then i would think about skipping stages one and two, and jump straight in at stage three, so you get constant nutrition during the day..... just eat the right foods whenever you are eating at the moment.......for protein have cold meats/eggs.....and if you want fruit then a banana will help replace the potasium you may have lost through sweating......Nuts/seeds are good for grazing on too. Try not to think to much in terms of calories....... just eat until you feel "not hungry" rather than full, and you should do just fine..... Drink water mostly, and occasionally fruit juices and red/green teas.Let us know how you are getting on.

thanks for your time

to be honestly i dont get "grazing", just eating something, but not that much that it could be considered as a meal?
And what to dou you mean by cold meat? Eating it raw?

I ve got a "vision" of my diet. Eating One Big Meal every 36h( every 24h seems to much for me) , constisting of lots of good meat, proteins and fats, and besides of that,  eating/ or grazing? with water, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.
Thats how i got here.
I never liked eating, but I think from family and just for comfort, its the worst part of my life . Im intending to find something good and simple, stick to that, and focus on other things, just to clarify. Smiley
I will try for some time, and report.

If you think that eating one big meal a day will sustain you with your constant training, then by all means try it..... i just thought that little and often might work for you, because you will need energy constantly.

By cold meats i mean cooked then put in the fridge till you need it...... i usually have a selection of cold meats in the fridge......chicken/ham/ quality sausages......and also hard boiled eggs..... yummy Smiley

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
