Hey Everyone!
Started Paleo about 4 days ago and lovin it so far just because I love meat already!
Main focus with this diet is tryin to get to my all time goal of 130 lbs and just really lean. I think I would look good if I lost close to 10% more body fat. Im sitting at around 20% right now.  At this point I would like to see inches off my waist as I am not so much worried about number. The only place I gain weight on my body is the stomach and back area. That’s it! Is this the “lifestyle change” I need? What is the best way to go about this diet to lean out and finally get to my ultimate goal? I am deployed so my food choices are limited but I try to stick to the veggies and meats they have available.
I use to stick to the traditional “bodybuilding” type diet. You know, 4 egg whites in the morning with a ½ cup of oatmeal and some peanut butter type deal. I ate every 2 and a half to 3 hours and that just made me look to eat more. I always was hungry and wanted to eat. I based my day around eating. I lost about 5 pounds, but that’s about it so I thought I would give the paleo diet a try. So far into this, I eat a bunch of meat and stay away from “neolithic foods”.

Heres some quick info about me:
-Female, 22 years old, 5’6’’ 140lbs
-20% Body fat
-Currently deployed overseas (military)
-looking to be about 130-125 lbs with 10% BF or so.
- I do convoys so I am on the road a lot, what ideas do you guys have as far as bringing food with me?
-Starting to get back into crossfit (injury stopped me and went back to just plain old heavy lifting and cardio, BORING!)

WHERE SHOULD I START!?

Ps. Do I have to not eat in the morning? This morning was the first time I just drank water and didn’t eat and I had a headache the rest of the day!
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask!

Hello and welcome,

If you have a good read of the messages on here you will see that everyone follows the stages differently depending on what suits them. For example i jumped straight in at stage 3.

As for the headaches, it's common to have that with carb withdrawel, and also you are detoxing.

For snacks you can take with you bits of cold chicken/ham/any meat...... a boiled egg or fruit or veggies like carrot sticks/celery/cucumber/tomtoes.

Good luck Smiley

First thanks for your service. I'm also over seas (working in Iraq). I was looking at starting this Caveman diet and workout style come next week. I been lifting and eating big. After reading over this website and thinking about it I want to give it a try. My question is too how to eat while out here. I guess I can get a to-go-box full of fruit and veggies. I don't go on convoys so easier for me to snack at work. I got the drinking water down since that is the ONLY way to surive out here. I am thinking of doing curcuits in the tent gym and stuff like that. So Marin4689 I wish you best of luck while out here and stay safe. Let me know how things go for you.

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
