I've been on this for a few weeks now and the way I usually do it is one of two ways. They recommend that some days you don't eat anything until your late meal of the day to give your body the mix of feast and famine. So on the days I do eat, I usually have a banana or some sunflower seeds, or raisins around 2pm with several glasses of water or tea. Then I eat my big meal around 7pm when my wife gets home.

Personally, I define grazing as don't let yourself get hunger pangs.  Eat just enough to stave them off.
I'm starting my fourth week of stage 1, and I've lost so much weight already that I think I'll just vary this stage with an odd day of stage two here and there before moving on to stage 3.
WOW I'll soon look like my avatar !!  Cheesy

This question of grazing has been on my mind since the beginning. My weight/health issues are probably from grazing... the wrong foods, that is. I heard about this lifestyle and then jumped in having seen the results on someone I know personally. I've been reading every day on this site. I've drastically changed the way I eat already. Today was day four and I felt the need to eat very little throughout the day. In the morning I downed about 8-10 oz of water. I waited until I felt hungry and then I'd drink more water and waited longer before I ate. I've been taking a bite of banana, hand full of assorted unsalted nuts and a quarter apple. I only had that three times today. And I had some beef jerky. This morning co-worker gave me a huge piece of Rice Crispy treat with Oreo and I let it sit on my desk all day where I could see it, then took it home and gave it to my wife. (Yes, I wanted to eat it!) I've come to admit that I'm a food junky alright. Sugar, salt, grease, pasta, breads, ice cream, and cheeses they all call to me. I'd usually be eating right now, and am not. Lips sealed Thank you for your support. More to come.... Steve

So here's to taking back control of my life, away from food. I understand that its necessary to eat for survival, and that's what I want to cut back to..enough to survive.

Great post Steve!  I was medically retired from the Navy a few years ago and I haven't really gained all that much weight considering what I've been through.  My pants are a bit tight though and after not being allowed to the gym for so long, I've definitely lost a lot of muscle tone.  My biggest issue is simply motivation.  You all are very inspiring though and I just heard about this diet yesterday.  I'm going to give it a whirl starting Monday, as my weekend plans aren't going to make it easy to start, but all of the stories here are very impressive and I'm looking forward to being one of the motivators in the coming weeks...!  Thanks for your inspiration!  Smiley

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
