I've been wondering what are some good camping/hiking foods that are easliy storeable. Kinda hard to find any meat product besides jerky that is not processed to bring out with no refidgeration. I've been on the diet now for 2 weeks and lost 10 lbs over the holidays! Hard to pass up some of the food but I find i'm not craving it anymore. So far I've been eating carrots and almonds for grazing which are easily stored for hiking. Just wondering how to get my meat in while in the field.

Canned tuna and chicken?  They can be a bit high on salt, but they are portable and not jerky.

i just started this whole caveman diet 2 days ago and i go camping pretty frequently. I was wondering why not jerky or dehidrated or smoked meats. What about deer chillie is that alright?
