Hi all,

I was just wondering if any of you will be celebrating Burns Night this year, and if you are, how?

My husband is part Scottish, and for the last few years we have celebrated in the traditional fashion after I found out haggis, despite its fearsome reputation, is actually really yummy. I am allowing myself to cheat and having Haggis for the night. I know that the oats and barley in it are strictly speaking a no-no, but I figured that the rest of the ingredients (lots of offal!) will off-set that somewhat. We will be having 'neeps but no tatties, although I might make a mash of some sort. There will probably also be a wee dram involved as well.

As there are a lot of offal-lovers here, I am curious to know if any of you are attempting to make a paleo-friendly haggis? I haven't got the time to experiment this year, but I would love to know if any one else will, and if it is a success...

If it's part of your ritual then go for what you think is a moderate night out celebrating. I'm sure back in the day, cavemen and women kept something back for best!!

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
