Today ( 18 June 2011) it starts. I had fruit for breakfest  and snacked on more at work. Had a salad for lunch and more fruit while at work. It is 4pm here now and I'm going crazy for FOOD. Alittle about me i'm a civilian contractor working in Iraq. I'm 37 years old, weight 227, height 6'1. Looking to trim down the waist line which is up to 39 not good. I workout 3 to 4 times a week in the morning before work and before it gets in the 100's. I know it will not be easy but I got to make a change.

Hey man
good luck on this!  Grin

about you going crazy for food , i must tell you that on days that i am not eating nothing at all i feel much less hungry before the big meal at night , on days that i do snack on some fruits etc i feel much more hungry a few hours before the meat ,

so what i am doing now when i do want to eat fruits  - is to wait and eat the first one only at around 4-5 in the afternoon ,  then when i get this kind of sugar drop and hunger from it - its just about time for the main meal.

Sounds good. May have to try that. It has been hard during the day not to eat a big meal but I know it has to be done to make this change happen.

Hi mnmvilla

How much protein are you eating during the day? Fruit, then salad, then fruit - there's no fat or protein in that, no wonder you're getting hungry! Substitute some fruit for nuts, a hard-boiled egg, a couple of slices of bacon - that should see you through the day much more easily.

Good luck with it!

Falcon,

Yes I have added hard boiled eggs into the day. Two at breakfest and one at lunch. I started that the second week and it does make it easier thru the day. Also I am currently focus on cardio for this week. Prior to the start of this plan i was on a "bodybuilder" bulk wiht little cardio. So trying to get that back up and start next monday back in the gym and mix cardio and wieghts.

hey stick to one goal for 4 weeks then if your looking to do xtra cardio after your bulk phase throw in some cardio but its really all in your diet. be careful with fruit bc its high in sugar. go with some meat!
