So im joining the Caveman Crew and hoping that it will work out for me. In the past year or so i have gained around two stone. Not pointing fingers but its my girlfriends fault..
I was quite lean and muscular when we first started going out but i stopped exercising and increased my food intake (didnt realise until it was too late and i could use my belly as a plate) I now feel my girlfriend doesnt find me attractive and i dislike what i have done to my body.
Any tips for helping me fight the urge to binge eat or pointers on how to keep exercising. I feel that once i sit down and am cosy the thought of exercise just gets me tired.

I found this website after i read a book on how the modern man has been ruined socially, biologically, mentally and physically due to becoming civilised and not attending to its most basic needs which it would usually do through Hunter-Gatherer activities.
This got me thinking, have i ever seen a fat caveman (or a picture/drawing of one anyway) No because they were the Prime of our race, they needed to be to survive. Then i thought some more (twice in one day can be an achievement for me) what was it that Caveman ate, this surely was the key to what could be my success to becoming fitter and less blobby.
I thought i would be able to handle the exercise (i dont have many mammoths or sabretooths in the area to hunt after but i could jog for a bit instead. Saves me fashioning my own spear)

Sorry about the long introduction but i am keen on using this diet and figure using this forum will aid in losing the blubber.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

I found that eating carbs made me so so tired!! Now i eat caveman, things are much better!.... you might find you have a lot more energy if you try it.

Make yourself a list of meals so that when you go shopping you know what to buy, and when you get home you know what to make. I often found in the beginning i didn't really know what to eat, so i would grab the first thing in the fridge  Undecided

let us know how you're getting on

I walk for an hour on my lunch hour instead of eating. One less meal and I get the extra exercise.

Some people need something structured to stick to, maybe take tennis lessons or join a team sport.

Well i cant say that i have done amazingly so far, but i have reduced the amount i eat at lunch, upped my fruit and lowered my snack intake.
I think it will be easier for me soon though as i have asked a few people to join in with the diet, so i have less peer pressure to eat unhealthier food.

Hi there

Some foods just seems to trigger hunger.  I grappled for a while trying to work out why i was getting hungry and not been able to go more than a few hours after having eaten whole food.

I cut out fruit and i noticed i could go longer without eating.  I still was getting hungry when i shouldn't have.
I cut out the vegetables ...Bingo

Fruit and Vegetables were triggering my hunger......Possibly insulin spike.

Now i didn't want to just eat meat fish and eggs and no vegetables so i noticed that cooking the vegetables in butter helped the saiety side of it.

If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
